In this course, engineers and designers will learn the fundamental use of FEMAP and how to construct analysis models. Special topics include, mesh and geometry repair, and a variety of modeling techniques.

Pre-Processing


Finite element overview
Preparing geometry for finite element modeling
Subdivision and semi-automatic meshing of solids
Free surface meshing (quads or triangles only)
Automatic and mapped meshing (with quads or bricks), including biasing
Tetrahedral and hexahedral meshing
Extrude and revolve curves into shell elements and shells into solid elements
Mesh refinement and smoothing
Interactive mesh editing
Associativity between geometry and mesh
Connection with dissimilar meshes
Element quality checks
Defining material properties
Defining restraints
Defining loads

Femap - Advanced (TR-FEM2)
OBJECTIVE:
In this course, engineers and designers will learn the advanced features of FEMAP and how to define variables and user input control using FEMAP Macro language. More advanced customization of FEMAP is explored in the API and Visual Basic language.
